
That’s the kind of writing I like: the kind that gets people to think about experiences that are different from their own; questions norms or the status quo; showcases what isn’t typically showcased. I like the kind of writing that voices a particular perspective or point of view that typically isn’t voiced.
Being a creative writer and thinker entitles you to think outside of the box. It means you may end up shocking people or making them emotional, angry. You might even make yourself feel that way! But instead of letting that deter you or fill you with fear or doubt, let it fuel you.
Good writing evokes emotions, ideas, and possibilities that deserve a voice/a place in this complex world that can seem one-dimensional.
It’s a chance to stop being one-dimensional and portray the array of beautiful voices and perspectives that deserve to be seen and heard.
